Ocoee River Gorge

Ocoee Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

Went on a great trip today to the 3rd most popular river for whitewater rafting in the U.S. Located in the Cherokee National Forest in TN, the Ocoee River was dammed and sections flooded by the Tennessee Valley Authority beginning in as early as 1933. The course was the site of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games whitewater competitions and continues to be a very popular destination.
