Get up early still reeling after the Madrid Pool Party of last night... awesome time!
Those that were left at the Pop Hostel got up early and headed to Atocha Train Station and to Toledo... We get there get our number for the queue, how long can the wait for tickets be??? It was 45 MINUTES!!!
After a short train ride we got to Toledo, the former Spanish capital, virtually identical to the way it was 500 years ago: large walls surrounding the entire city, narrow steep streets, Alcazar, Cathedral. It was really hot that day but that didn't stop Bondy, Hannah and Ruby from playinng on the swing in the park haha
We saw most of the sights and were famished from the heat so we decided to find a restaurant for some food.
It was at this time when Bondy's relationship with the Sangria Carton got deeper... He was on Carton #2, maybe even #3 as the two of them have been attached at the hip for most of the day :) After a few hours of courtship, Bondy was deep under the spell of Sangria and while most of the hostel was sleeping or trying to sleep Bondy did his best to keep people awake haha.
We get outside and Bondy finds a nice home for himself in the form of a BOX :) With his Sangria in hand, sloutching over to his right, and wearing Ruby's hat, he looked very much like a HOBO! It was very difficult, nearly impossible not to laugh when at 1am on a Saturday night in Madrid, with pedestrians passing by, there is Bondy with his love for the night, the Sangria, sitting in a Box on Calle de Espiritu Santo... At one point we started the "Bondy Recovery Fund" panhandling for spare change... Bondy even became a sort of attraction for the locals, some woke him up, others took photos with him :) Long story short, after this night I am never drinking Sangria again LOL
We helped our friend Bondy that night and it was off to bed...
