So we are done being wandering hobos. Thank goodness. This is the last time we will be staying in places less than 4 days, its just too time consuming moving around so much, not to mention totally exhausting.
We had a really great time in Slovakia, although backwoods is definately the best way to explain it. It kind of felt like we were in the Flin Flon of Europe being there. The weather was kind of yucky most of the time, we went to this castle that is the biggest in eastern europe, of course just ruins of t remain, one fo the coolest castles we have seen I think. Spent 2 days hiking in the mountains, the clouds never fully cleared, although we got some good views. Almost all the hikers were slovakians there, little to no english was spoken which was a nice change actually.
Then we took a train to prague and spent 3 days there, nice city but I dont think we gave it enough credit as we were kind of tired with it being the end of the trip. Spent one day wandering around, checked out the castle, our apartment was right near the old tow square which was really cool to explore at all hours of the day. Spent half a day at the zoo, great place apparently the 7th best zoo in the world. Then went to see a chamber orchestra in a small 1000 year old church. One of the favourite things that I did, the acoustics in the church were amazing, felt like a full orchestra even though it was a small ensemble. Flew to Denmark this afternoon ad we are spending the rest of the trip with our friends Pernille and Minie. Looking forward to it a lot.
