DJ, Faith & Mom with the Dolphins
After hanging out at the beach all day on Friday, we decided to do our first adventure outside the hotel area to Wet-n-Wild. We caught a 8:00am bus to the park. We were a little bummed as the weather (which was to be sunny according to weather.com) turned out to be overcast we spotty rain here and there. We figured it was the chamber of commerce for Mexico posting the weather reports. DJ and Faith (and the family) had a blast here. They went on all the water rides (which they were big enough for) and also into the wave pool. At Wet-n-Wild we also had a special treat which they looked forward too. They got to go swimming with dolphins! We walked out onto a boardwalk that then turned into a peer.
Having a blast at Wet-n-Wild
After paying the appropriate wavers and paying the fees... ;-) the kids got their life jackets on and walked out towards the dolphins. The dolphins were as excited as us as they saw us walking to them. They know it's feeding time when the guest come out. DJ, Faith and Renee then got to go into the water with a trainer. The trainer then called the dolphins over for DJ and Faith to feed and pet. The trainer also had them do some basic tricks and taught the kids about dolphins. The sun finally came out as we were about mid way through and stayed out for the rest of the day. Later we came back to the hotel and went out to dinner at the Japanese restaurant located in the hotel.
