Saturday..... Saturday morning started early for me. I awoke at 5:00 AM, and totally disoriented. I was in someone else's room with two people I didn't know I would be sharing a room with...Melanie and Erin! After trying to recollect what exactly happened the night before, and not having any luck, I decided to drive back to the Sheraton Hotel east of the city to get my clothes I had forgotten the day before. And since I had passed out very early the night before (as I was told), I was well rested for a new day.
After retrieving my clothes and returning to the Westin, it was still quite early. I decided to take advantage of the free time and upload some pics and do my blogging.

Around 9:00 or 9:30 AM everyone began to stir. We had a 10:00 AM time slot to begin our KC tour. The passenger van that Mark was going to use became unavailable at the last minute and we decided to just carpool everyone around with Mark's, and Sal's, and my cars. Our tour included the WW I Memorial, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, a visit to the Plaza area, several of KC's fountains, and lunch at the Classic Cup.
Our first meetup point after the tour was back to the Classic Cup, but this time downstairs in a private area. Mark and one of his former band members (another Mark) surprised everyone with a private concert for us. I will have some video of that posted within a day or two. Joining us was Travbuddies Sari, Jennifer, Natalia, and Bill. From here we walked to Jack Stack's BBQ for dinner and some famous KC barbeque.

And after dinner our next stop was the Grand Falloon bar. We had an area reserved for our group as we would be having some special ceremonies. Joining us at this stop was Andy from Minnesota, but originally from the area. The highlights of our evening at the Falloon was presenting Yadira (yadilitta) with her pink shirt (autographed by the rest of the TB gang) for being the person who traveled the furthest. The next ceremony was the official queening of Queen CW (mellemel8), complete with crown and sceptor. And after being queened, Melanie then re-knighted me, followed by the knighting of Sir Sal, Sir Will, and Sir RJ. I will have video posted of this, as well.
We left the Grand Falloon and drove back to the Power and Light District because everyone wanted to hit Howl at the Moon again.
But Howl at the Moon was so incredibly busy that we hung out in the courtyard and then at Raglan Road Irish pub. Joining us here was Kirk and his friend Dan. Around midnight our group began thinning out because several had to catch early flights, and Tim and Shawn were going on a bicycle tour very early. Around 1:00 AM the remaining TBs headed back to the hotel. We spent some time in the lobby and said goodbyes to those we wouldn't see the next day before retiring for the night. I would be taking Melanie, Erin, and RJ to the airport at 4:30 AM, and I think we was able to get a couple hours of sleep.
