Bon Jovi and the Lost Highway Tour finally came to town...
For me this tour started last year, when I learned that Bon Jovi would come to Norway for the first time in ages. A friend of mine, who's possibly an even bigger BJ fan then I am called me and said she wanted to sign up for a membership in the Backstage with Bon Jovi fanclub, so that she could get Inner Circle tickets. Since you could only get 2 tickets pr. membership, I signed up as well. I ordered my 2 tickets and so the waiting began.
And finally - after months of waiting, the day was here. I headed to Ullevaal Stadium at 3pm. Oh boy, am I glad I did. It was already a long que outside the membership entrance. I picked up my tickets, and got in line. At around 4.30pm they opened the doors and let us thru security and in to the stadium.
The warm-up band played just 4 songs I think. Didn't pay much attention to them, since i didn't think they were any good. They left the stage at 7.50pm and now we and the other 30.000 spectators were just waiting for the band we were there to see - Bon Jovi!
And shortly after 8 pm, they came on stage. Oh man, it was everything I expected it to be and then some. They really are a great live band, and it was so worth both the money and the wait. They played for 2 and a half hours, with 2 extra numbers. And they played something from they're entire career, which made it an even better experience. Started of course with Lost Highway and from thereon played songs like Older, Always, Faith, Living on a Prayer, Blace of Glory etc. It was just an amazing experience and given the chance I will go see them again!
