Merv on bed Reagan trying to get on bed
In 2003 we got the chance to stay three night in Kuala Lumpur on a stop over flying from Brisabne to the Netherlands. The airline had included three nights free accomodation in accordance with this, so who were we to say no and not explore somewhere new. A few months prior to this the people of Asia had experineced the SARS virus and in a way I think such a thing like this had been organised to help with tourism and to get people back to this wonderful country.

Before we went I had made arranjgements for a limosuine service to escort us to the KL Intgernational Airport to our accomodation in Kuala Lumpur. It cost a little more but we were assured or a nice comfortable ride which would take about an hour.

We arrived at about 6am after a sleepless trip with Reagan, which was our first ever experiencing in traveling with her long haul. When we checked through all the gates and got our luggage we came to the exit and Oh my... we were shocked and confused. There must of been over 100 taxi and Limo drivers all asking us if they could help us and all I had on me was the contact details of the Motel, nothing else. We were tired and needed some rest not confusion. One man took us aside where we contacted the Hotel in question and apparently they had forgotten to arrange the Limo for us. Thbey said we could now make our own choice and they would add the cost of this to our room, but what we did  not get was such a good deal by doing it this way. When we finally arrived at the motel, we complained to my contact who automatically upgraded our room to a family suite free of charge, which was very nice. This was the only bad thing that happened on this trip!

The rest of our time in KL was wonderful. We did all the touristy things like seeing the Petronas Twin Towers and the KL Tower as well as a trip to some caves. The shopping great and very cheap if you knew where to look, which Trish quickly found out... LOL! The food was incredible and the people so friendly. Reagan was just over 1 at the time and got quite a lot of attention from people for her fair skin and blonde hair. Definitly a great placve to go back too!
