San Diego Week - Day 3 & 4 - Touristas

Day 3 was the day of the touristas. Whirlwind tour of all the attractions and things to do in San Diego, including SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park. I swear, I've never seen so many animals, birds, assorted fishes and dolphins and who knows what else in a single day. I mean, when you see so many animals at the same time, it all kinda blurs together into one animal-fest, so to speak. I think I'm beginning to smell like elephant dung myself. That would probably because we were in the vicinity when a couple of the African elephants let rip all the stuff they had been storing up (probably waiting for us...).

Other quickies included the Cabrillo National Monument, Balboa Park and some down time at La Jolla. Cabrillo was beautiful, Balboa is a tourist dump and La Jolla, well... we actually didn't spend too much there to form an opinion, but I'm trending towards a net positive, given hhow nice the beach was. Lotta people, though. But then, what else can you expect in the heat of summer? Gonna be a lot of nitwit tourists. What? You calling me a nitwit?

Anyway, these two days went by in a ethereal state of touristic bliss, where you want to cover as much as you can, take in all the sights and sounds, and record everything for posterity. Its fun, although a little bit too fast for me. I prefer a kind of slow and unhurried travel, where you explore the streets and side alleys and little shops and restaurants and get to know some people, and come back again the next day to renew acquaintances. Well, end of the 4th day is set aside for Tijuana. Hopefully, we won't be robbed, ripped off, or in any way get to know the nefarious elements. Just want to buy some cheap meds and fill up the tank cause its way cheaper across the border. And maybe have a few shots of tequila and come back sloshed.
