Taipei airport - layover on my way to Indonesia
NOTE: I am attempting with this blog to preserve memories for myself as well as hopefully give helpful insight to people who themselves may consider going to Indonesia in the future, so bare with my blah blah blah and all the rambling of info :) I hope this is of help to some people!
I left Seattle at 1am on may 27th, it was great as I was very tired and I was able to sleep most the whole 12 hour flight. It was not a full flight and luckily the seat was open next to me. I landed in Taipei very early at 4:45am Taipei time, I took a few silly pics and roamed around the large airport with a few other people also waiting. I told them about Tb and exchanged info and soon we were on our seperate ways. The airport is empty at 5am but by 6am it really starts to pick up. Our group learned that if you want to leave the airport during your layover, you have to consider checking in through immigration when re-entering the airport. Also make sure you don't transfer to the connecting flights part of the terminal if you want to get out of the airport first. Once in that area its tough to get back out.
Next stop Jakarta!
