Very Mini Meetup:
Ubud is the place where we would meet our TB friend Celine (Anezia27) from France. She was travelling with her friends(a work colleague and her husband). We emailed each other for a few weeks before we met, sharing info of places to visit, etc. So we met Celine on the evening of our second day in Ubud, she was going to see a Barong Dance show and had asked us to join. However we had just seen a dance a few days before, so we decided to wait for her in a cafe and had our dinner while waiting.
She showed up at 8:00 after the dance, we talked a lot and shared our experiences.
It was fun, hope to meet you again one day Celine! :)
Places We Ate:
1st night in Ubud: Sagitarius Cafe on Monkey Forest street (also a hotel), we had Lumpia and Nasi Campur and lime squash and rice wine for drinks. The food was good, we'll come here again oneday!
2nd day lunch: Song's Oriental Restaurant, this is our favorite place to eat while we were in Ubud, the place was hidden, we had to go inside the small street just next to Verona Spa. It was very relaxing and great food - not expensive as well. We had lunch here after having a spa.
Dinner: We had dinner at the meetup (forgot the name of the cafe) and some bread from Circle K (usually drank es teh (ice tea) or water, unlike europe they have normal water in Indonesia and its very in-expensive - only drink bottled water!)
3rd day lunch: Coffee & Silver Cafe. We only had lumpia and drank lime squash and ice tea as we still had the bread from Circle K and was full. They had wifi so we could eat and check email here, but the food is pretty expensive.
Dinner: We found this Bakery Shop with fancy breads and treats (corner of two main streets in Ubud - across Bebek Bengil Restaurant - AKA dirty duck diner)
