looked at couple rooms, this was one style bed in one room..this is what they call a "double" bed (two person)

So we landed in Bali, we still had not received the confirmation from the travel agent for the Casa Padma Hotel yet, so we decided to go to a travel agent at the airport. Finally we decided to stay at the Rama Garden Beach Hotel as the agent offered us a good rate of IDR 300,000 per night (gave to cheap, the hotel does not normally ever give any room that cheap, but they worked it out and kept to what they offered). We caught a taxi and headed to our hotel, it had been a long day and we were ready to get to our rooms and hit the sack (sleep).

The hotel is located across the street from the Casa Padma and both are located on the same street as The Lokha hotel, former Jalan Padma. It was a nice quiet hotel with a swimming pool, nice & helpfull staff and good breakfast.

The hotel cafe is always full with Australian's and New Zealanders (Aussie's and Kiwi's) as it's a sports bar that shows Australian rules football (AFL), on there big screen TVs.

See review for Rama Garden Cottages bottom of this page.

We stayed here for 4 nights, it was a good location. Once we woke up early in the morning walking to the quiet beach - as it's always crowded and so hot during the day - was very nice. We also walked around the hotel area, buying some t-shirts and DVDs. Each room has a DVD player in it as well as about a 26-32" LCD TV which were nice to watch the new dvd's on or listen to music dvds we bought as well.

We did some excursions to the mall and that part of town (via taxi) and to other places form this location as well.
We left Rama and continued our trip to Ubud. When we got back from Ubud to Kuta, we were planning to come back to this hotel, but the rate we got was different (higher) and they were full the first night, we decided to stay closer to the mall and main shopping and the beach and wanted to stay in the same place all 4 nights, also saving about $70 USD for the 4 days. We gave up a nicer hotel/room for location and $ saved. Next time I would like to stay at Rama a couple nights as I liked it alot and the people who clean the rooms and fix stuff were really cool and friendly, just really enjoyed it there (great people and nice tv and dvd player whats not to like:). Nice breakfast comes with the stay as well.

Yeah it's cheap, consider it is in Bali and near the beach.
