Missing the Trip for Another Roadtrip!
June 14, 2008
Yes, I am not going to elaborate on that title. :)
I actually didn't miss my bus, my friends were in cahoots with the bus company to mess it up so that I could join them on this roadtrip to Sorsogon! My brothers bought me a ticket yesterday bound for Manila, but my friends still haven't gotten enough of me. So they called up the bus company, canceled the ticket and rebooked it for today. Wahh!
Since I didn't believe them, I still went to the bus terminal with my brothers, stepped inside and gave my ticket to the bus conductor. But then the lady stopped me, "Miss, this one has already been cancelled earlier. I gave you seat to another person." and I stared in disbelief. I looked at my friends who were now trying to contain their laughter and then to the lady and I was like, "What?! Did you get the name of the person who called?" The happiness on my friends' faces faded, they knew I could reason out to reclaim my seat and prove that it wasn't me who made that call. Honestly, I was already looking annoyed that time so the lady told me she could find another seat for me if I really wanted to make the trip. But looking at the sorry faces of my friends, I let out a heavy sigh and decended the steps of the bus. I balled up my fist and screamed at them, "Why the hell did you do that?!" "Did you see all those people staring at me as I flared up in there?". They just gave me a group hug and whispered "At least you're not on that bus anymore and you decided to stay." Wahhhh! How could I be mad at those people who'd do anything to make you stay for one more day?!
So yes, a trip to Sorsogon - that is. 3 hours to Gubat, Sorsogon. 4 hours on Rizal Beach and 4 hours driving back home. Why 4 hours?! Because at 5:30pm, it's already dark and there were no reflectors on the road, no road signs telling you you're approaching a blind curve (and I tell you, it's full of accident prone areas!) plus roads are not even lighted! Yesssssss! Perfect! :) When I realized how dangerous it was to speed up just to catch my trip to Manila, I stopped telling Jed to drive faster. Haha! Now, this is the day when I missed the bus! :) We arrived around past 9 and...well, the last trip was 8:45pm. What?!?! In that case, to get my frustrations out (haha)... we went to get something to drink after dinner! Good idea!
