Best Hotel in Puerto Plata
I vacation in the Puerto Plata quite often and have stayed and visited various hotels. For the best bang for your buck the Riu Mambo is your best bet. The Mambo is part of 3 Riu hotels all part of the same complex. There is very little difference between then and you have access to all the same amenities. The one key difference is that the beach in front of the Mambo hotel is a little nicer then the other two.
The hotel is all inclusive. The one thing that stands out is how friendly the staff is, there is no pressure at all to tip and they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The rooms are quickly and discreetly cleaned and if you don’t like swimming in the ocean, you can choose from any of the 3 pools on the resort to cool off.
Overall the hotel is very well priced and by far the best value for your dollar in Puerto Plata.
