Crete in the summer is a fresh, luscious olive swimming in the Mediterranean sea.
It soaks up the sunshine, absorbs the stillness and laziness of the air. It makes you idle and static. While in Crete, there is nothing more important than diving into its seemingly motionless atmosphere. Your heartbeat slows down, so do your thoughts. Panta rhei.
There is no time for work in Crete, because if you work you still do it in a relax way. And, mind you, you are an expert and specialist in resting. No unnecessary moves, no abrupt words for they may upset the primeval fixed routine. But this is alright. This is how things should be J No haste, no rush. Except for nights. Because then life gains speed, excitement and raki J And this is the perfect time to express all the saved words and moves! And if you are a Cretan you are an expert in having blast too!
Finally, If you think you know all the shades of blue – you definitely have to come to Crete. Not only will the sky surprise you – so will water. Deep blue, turquoise, azure, green, white, and pinkish….and the water plays, teases or sometimes aggravates the sand. The air smells with sea and salt. Most enjoyable experience J
If you forgot how to relax - Crete is your next destination :o))))
