meeting my two greek friends - stratis and marianna, my "bergbau" kumpel" rossi and dee from the philippines!

bringing back greece into my life

stratis (profilename: strategos) and i were talking for months now in travbuddy -  i decided to invite him to come to spain with me - but he doesnt have the time because of studies in the uni - so in return he invited me to come to greece and island hopping in santorini - in but i dont have the time and money for the moment - so we settled - he will visit me in june! he contacted his friend marianna (profilename: mariannag) to come with him.

stratis is a nice person  - he is very interested in architectures - so i promised him that if he visits me - i wil show him different kinds of architectures in germany - baroque, gothic,  belle epoque, bauhaus, neo classical, art deco and nazi.  but before that - we were talking alot about greece - since i was in greece two years ago and saw LOTS of things and i happen to like greek traditional folklore music - and he sent me already 3 greek cds of thanasis papakonstantinou!!! amazing!!! because i like the "ιάφανος - diaphanos album with the song h trata.

so finally! after months of waiting -  i met the guys today at 12:00 pm at düsseldorf airport - i was a bit groggy and lack of sleep because i chatted till 2:30 am with pablo (you idiot! hahaha) and i still cant sleep after. i picked them up and we hugged each other for a long time!

i never felt uncomfortable with them - we all clicked at once! i showed them all about the transportation system in düsseldorf of how to get the cheap prices while travelling the city. while stratis was excitedly taking pictures - i had bonded with marianna - which is not only a beautiful person outside but also inside as well - very educated, well mannered fine young lady. she was so impressed by my knowledge of athens, greece and greek mythology - hahahahahaa.

i took them to their hotel and checked in - and we had coffee first in the cafe across the hotel - where marianna was curious about the soup i ordered - crushed oranged with ricola soup - was really yummy! i love orange soup with herbs!  i was answerng all their questions about düsseldorf and germany but everytime the conversation would comeback to greece - because i love the countryside very much.

i toured them around the city all TEN HOURS NON STOP - marianna paid for our dinner and i was so embarassed and ohmy god!!! they bought me presents from greece! stratis told me before what would i like - i just said ref magnets since i forgot to buy in greece (for my mother)  and they presented me in the restaurant ceremoniusly some present - 3 ref magnets - a greek traditional tambourine and oh my god! an expensive cd of canto olympico and anthology of greek composers! f*ck thats really heartwarming! i was in he verge of crying -  but it was too cold outside (smokers area) hahah to cry.
- i had to do something - when the guys got hungry from touring around - i invited them for a real german snack - (well from netherlands actually) called fritjes with tones of french fries and dutch sausage called frikandel with fresh chopped onions curry ketchup and mayonaiise and they loved it! :D after that we went to slaon des amateurs my favortie hang out in düsseldorf - but i couldnt anymore - i was about to fall and really dead tired.

i couldnt meet the guys tomorrow - because i have to work - but on sunday we will meet more 2 tbs :))) (surprise) and we will travel west germany together in one day!
