Perhaps living in Los Angeles for 9 years has spoiled me, but the Bay Area, although very beautiful is very cold and windy! There's a stretch of road that winds along the coast, giving you beautiful vistas of cliffsides with these amazing trees growing out of these huge rocks.
Just to the East you have the Sequoias and other ginormous trees, some of which are hollow inside! These trees are very humbling, and throws you back to the days where everything was larger than life and huge animals ruled the earth..
