Day 7, The first night at Tokyo

I was so lucky that I had a chance to visit Japan in January 2007. I was one of twelve Indonesian Islamic School Heads that invited by Ministry of Foreign Affair Japan in collaboration with PPIM UIN Jakarta. In my opinion, Japan has done a great job in preserving its culture while moving towards to modernism. I could not say anything besides "Thank you Lord... alhamdulillah..."

Day 7, The first night at Tokyo

When we arrived at Tokyo, we went straight to the hotel. Tokyo would be our last city to visit in Japan. We stayed there for a week. We stayed at Tokyo Prince Hotel.

Before we went to our bedrooms, Ibu Miyo took us to the restaurant first to have dinner. Everybody was tired and hungry. As I remembered I ordered steak and it was delicious. The restaurant served European Food. Actually, the hotel had another restaurant, but we chose to dine here.

After having dinner, we went to our rooms. I found my bif suitcase had been in my room. I looked around the room and ... I found that I could see the Tokyo Tower through the window! I felt very grateful! MOFA gave us the best view rooms! Thanks a lot!

One thing that I like the most from this hotel is I can see the Tokyo Tower from my bedroom ;-)
The bedroom is spacious but the furniture is old style.
The bathroom is not too large but not too small either. What I really like from the bathroom is the toilet bowl. It's equipped with an electronic stuff. We can adjust the temperature of the bowl, cold, warm, or hot. It's very suitable for winter. We can sit on it without getting cold ;-) Another thing is the bowl is completed with the sound of flush water. So, the flush sound will cover the sound of ... when we ... you know ;D
Another thing that I found different from this hotel is we get 100 or 1000 yen voucher per day (I forget the amount) if we don't ask the room service to make up our room. We can spend the voucher at hotel shops. I could buy some souvenirs from the vouchers I got ;-D
The hotel serves 2 kind of breakfast at 2 different restaurants. We can choose between European or Japanese breakfast.
