Heidelberg Meet-Up

Liyena and I arrived at the official Meet-Up date, Saturday, very PÃœNKTLICH (punctual) at 2pm - actually a few minutes before. I think we were the only ones...  everybody else has arrived the night before and therefore they all seemed a little tired.  We walked up to the castle - 315 steps and I have to admit that I was really disappointed that they charge you 3 Euros just to step into the inside of the castle courtyard - to go inside the castle you have to pay extra.  At least you get to see the barrels , very interesting. But full of people. As a feeling of being stuck in an anthill overcomes me, Lauro suggests to wait outside to meet Oussama. And sure enough he is already there, so we sit ouside and get to meet Flat Stanley also. It starts thundering and I am starting to get a little worried of the weather...
We go back to the others who are done with the Wine Tasting,  I have a quick coffee and we go on to the restaurant. Everybody is scattered in different directions - Liyena and I go to the Gummibear shop, only to find they do not have my favorite gummibears anywheres. It starts raining. We all meet back at the restaurant - but nobody is there - we decide to wait outside... and see the others sitting in a pub across the street. So we go over there and Svenman comes and joins us. He says the rain on the other side of Heidelberg was horrible and I am thankful that we did not get it quite that bad. We go to eat and Johnny Cash (Clint) and his girlfriend join us at dinner. After this we watch the fireworks. But, we skip the barhopping. All together it was a very nice day and I had so much meeting all the other Travbuddies...
