The kitchen and lounge of the 66' long canal boat
Another sleep in and slow start to the day - and then we were on our way back the way we had come.  The sun was hidden behind clouds today and a couple of hangovers caused the mood to mellow a little.  We were all enjoying the relaxing pace though and were getting used to the canal boat lifestyle.  When we stopped for lunch it became apparent that the power supply that we'd suffered the day before was back.  I won't scare you with the details - but lets just say that some of the facilities on board really did need power to work.  The engine worked fine though, so we continued to motor southwards.  We had to find our way to a pub by 4pm in order to catch the Australia vs Brazil match.  We pulled up in Uxbridge, found a pub near the river covering the game and took a couple of hours out from canal boating to watch the Aussies give the Brazilians a run at "football".  When match was over we headed back to the marina so the boat could be looked at by the engineer.  While that was taking place we retired to a nearby pub and enjoyed a meal and a few drinks.  I wasn't a late night - we all had to get up and off to work on Monday.  No one was really happy that the boating adventure was over.
