The shirt that launched a nickname

It's the summer of 2008 and time to light up the sky once again!  Last year, I somehow adopted the nickname "Sparkler" and it stuck.  Sparkler (who is a member of "Billy Boom's Crew") is now off to pick up this weekends' fireworks.

This weekend is our community Relay For Life (a fundraiser for cancer research).  My family (Mom and Dad) donated the fireworks that are shot in celebration of local cancer survivors.  I'm happy to report that I will be pushing buttons this Friday evening.  Honestly, even though it's hard, back-breaking, grueling, dirty dirty work, I can tell you I'm looking forward to it a bit.

The pick-up was fairly uneventful.  We drove to Firestone Stadium in Akron, said hello to our fellow fireworks workers, met the "new guy", loaded a couple boxes, and took off.  After driving around and finding nothing really in the area we were in, we stopped to eat at an Applebee's near Akron.
