Lady Liberty (taken with a zoom lens--she's really far away from the shore)
We arrived in NYC late last night.  We only have a short amount of time in the city (we leave early Monday morning) so we decide to see as much as we can each day.  Today we get an early start and leave Barry and Shannon's apartment in Tribeca and pick up bagels on our way to Battery Park.  We plan to take the ferry over to see the Statue of Liberty if the line is reasonable.  It turns out we didn't head out early enough.  At 9am, the line is already ridiculously long (hundreds of people).  We are not big on waiting for anything so we snap a few photos from the park and keep walking.  We stop off at Wall Street.  We see the NYSE and the famous bull statue.  We also see Trinity Church where Alexander Hamilton is buried and then we catch a subway.  We visit the Natural History Museum (one of my favorite places the last time I visited the city).  We move through the museum quickly (as usual) and get to see the highligts.  Then we head back to the apartment to get ready for our Broadway matinee.  We go to see "Alter Boyz" a parody of boy bands (but these guys do the Christian rock genre).  It's a'ight, but not as funny as I had hoped it would be.  As we leave, we walk through Time Square and then we head over to Little Italy for dinner and gelato.  We wind up this crazy busy day with drinks in the East Village before heading home for some much needed sleep.
