Siem Reap!!
We reached Siem Reap and checked in at some guesthouse, i don't remember the name. Once we checked in and got ourselves washed up, all 30 of us toured around the place in a van and did brainless things (like walking around in a supermarket). we were basically just taking it all in.. not ready to start on the touristy stuff yet. We just wanted to.. enjoy civilization. HAHA. We had fast food for lunch and we loved every bit of it. At night we went to an interesting restaurant for dinner. I think it was called Dead Fish Tower. The place has a great ambience, good food and cheap drinks (one could not ask for more). It was a great first night out of the village. Oh yes, the place had live crocodiles too!! just for decorations.. i think.. i hope! i sure hope we didn't unknowingly eat crocodile meat that night. After dinner, some of us headed to a massage parlour, some went for drinks and some went to an internet cafe to.. enjoy civilization.
In fact my memory of my first night in Siem Reap was preeeetty hazy and because i have a memory of a toenail, i shall not attempt to dig for more.
