From Circular Quay train station
I spent the day sightseeing in Sydney today. I like to visit
Circular Quay and the Rocks, visit some of my favourite shops and check out the
beautiful Sydney harbour. Robyn decided she would like to come with me; it is
the same everywhere, people never sightsee in their own back yard, and Robyn
had not been into Circular Quay for some years. We wandered from the train
station around to the Opera House where I took a photo or two of the house and
the harbour. Next, we went into the historic Rocks area where we stopped for
lunch before heading back to the Quay and hopping on a ferry that would take us
across the harbour, under the Harbour Bridge to Luna Park, then around into
Darling Harbour where we hopped off and walked into the city. We strolled
around the beautiful QVB (Queen Victoria Building) for a little while then
headed over to the State Library for a photographic exhibition of World Press
Photo 08 - This exhibition features the award-winning photographs from the 51st
annual World Press Photo contest. This was a fantastic exhibition and if it
comes to a town near you, I highly recommend going to have a look.
