Destin, FL
This year we took a trip to Destin, FL. We drove!
On the way we stopped in Mobile, AL to see the Historic Fort Conde. It was a pretty neat little fort. My son liked the cannons and the wall looking out over the port of Mobile. The Fort was also over the tunel, which was pretty neat.
We had a lot of fun in Destin.
We stayed at the Silver Sands Condos. They were right on the beach. The beach was great, but my son prefered the pool.
We went and looked at the docks one day and ate at Captin Kidd's Seafood Bufet.
We also took a Glass Bottom Boat tour. The Boat was not what I expected. You can not see anything from the glass bottom. The experiance was nice. We got to see some dolphins and my son got to drive the boat.
We went to "The Track." It was a lot of fun. We enjoyed riding the go-carts. During the day the tickets are "buy one get one free."
The Air Force Museum is close and a lot of fun.
On the way home, we stopped in Baton Rouge. We walked by the USS Kidd (they closed at 5:00 PM)
