Lake Barkley State Park....Late Start

We were supposed to leave between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. BUT my husband did not arrive home until 5:30 p.m.  I'm an obsessive compulsive planner and it drives me nuts when things get off schedule (especially when this is just the start of vacation).  My husband still had to pack, load the bikes on top of the car and hook the camper up.  By the time this was done, we left our house after 7:00 p.m.  I requested that we wait and just leave early Saturday morning but my husband won that argument (sometimes it sucks being married to an attorney!!!)!

When we arrived at Lake Barkley State Park in Cadiz, Kentucky, it was around 9:30 p.m. and the campground was not very well lit and the bugs were as thick as I have ever seen in my life!  Rick was now thinking that we should have waited until Saturday to leave (I relish those small victories...you know the ones where they know you are right and they are wrong:-)!
