Day 2 - Lake Barkley State Park

This is the 2nd long camping trip we have taken as a family.  This trip my husband and I are traveling with our girls who are 4(almost 5 but tells everybody she is 6), 3 and 17 months.  We have done several weekend trips but these long ones can prove stressful at times (no baby gates, letting a 3 and 4 year old share a bed and a 17 month old who thinks she is as big as her sisters:-)!  These are also the  trips that show you how much your kids really are growing up and the kind that really allow you to spend "quality" family time together.

Lake Barkley State Park has a beautiful lodge with a pool that overlooks the lake.  We enjoyed most of the day today swimming in the pool since the lake was closed for swimming due to there being too much E. Coli.

The campground is nice but the bathrooms are a little on the gross side.  If you are a camper and plan on visiting, make sure you bring an extension cord for the electric hook-up, as the hook ups are no where near where they should be!
