learning to cook bisquits by camp fire
The day started off grey and raining cat's and dog's as it usually does in this great state of washington. We loaded up the final belongings going camping, including the kid and dogs. First stop was to Starbucks to load up on the coffee, Then Fred Meyer's to get some grease for the hitch. This was the first camping trip with our new pop up trailer. finally no more sleeping on air matrice's, and having them go flat, and no more cold nights. A heater to keep us warm. and no more tent's to put up. We arrive at our local spot around 1 pm. backed up into our spot and began to set up the trailer. After everyone arrived, and sat up there tent spots, it was time to start the festivities. Light the fire, cook the food, and let the games begin. Friday night most everyone goes to bed early. Saturday was breakfast no rain. Beautiful day. Kids went to the lake. some of us went to town to shop, and some went a few miles up the mountain to see the snow. Other's just napped. That night was smore's,stories,game's and pranks. Beautiful star's out, but oh no sometime early morning it decided to rain. So up to the tarps and then the sun decided to grace us with it's presence. Sunday was a lazy day. Grandpa taught the kids how to start survival fires. and we just lounged around. Monday rain krept in again as we were packing up to leave, but it was a great stress reduceing weekend. Can't wait till 4th of july weekend. and Labor day.
