A few days in London
October 16, 2006
back in October I tripped back across to London to meet up with James. The first night in London was in a stinky London hotel and James having jet lag needed to 'rest his eyes' at 7.30 and ended up sleeping the whole night away. The next day we got up and saw all the sights bridge, big ben, westminster, palace, and had a fun time feeding all the squirrels in the parks. They would jump up you legs to get the food out of your hand. Then we had to meet my friend Fiona and with technology troubles we couldn't contact each other and after James jumped on a train that I was too slow for all three of us were wandering around London looking for each other. Well they had found each other easily while I was stuck on a train, that stopped for 30 minutes in the station for some unknown reason, with frustrated Londoners. That night we went and saw Little Britain Live which was hilarious even if we had the worst seats in the theatre
After London we headed off to France Loire Valley. We were lucky enough to have the experience of going through security in a London airport. Which involved everyone being stripped of liquids, makeup; medicine, taking shoes off which left us exactly 5 minutes before plane was to take off. So I ran through the airport, in my socks no time to put shoes back on, all the way to the furtherest gate they could have possible put us. Luckily plane was delayed and we made it to Tours.
