After we left the Irvine Spectrum, it was off to Balboa/Newport Harbor to spend an hour cruising the harbor and checking out the beach. Getting everyone to the right location was a bit of a challenge but eventually we got everyone coordinated and in one place!!! YEAH. We stopped by the store for some snacks and more juice for our leftover beverages to share on the boat and met up with everyone at the pier.
A few more potty breaks and we were ready to get out boat and sail away (ok, more like putt putt in the electric boat but you get the idea). The boat rental was a breeze and she apparently liked us so she gave us an extra 15 minutes or so on the rental which was nice! We got situated and in trying to figure out who was going to drive the boat, I kindly nominated Jamie since he was the last one on the boat.

We putted around the harbor, checked out some of the mega mansions and the accompanying boats. We spotted at least two of the Terribles' homes and their fancy boats. For those who are not familiar - Terrible Herbst has a large Las Vegas presence - they own Terrible's Casino and numerous gas stations all over the greater LV area. Two of their boats were even painted red to match the color scheme!! WOW.
Since I still want a large boat even though it's cost prohibitive to operate one with gas prices, I drooled and took some photos of the various yachts I hope to work up to someday....perhaps after I will the lottery as I don't see it happening on my current salary!!! HA HA.

As we were headed back in, there were some boats partying out in the middle of the harbor and Jamie decided to honk the horn at them. Now granted, the majority of us were female but as Angel pointed out, he was the one operating the boat and horn so he looked interested rather than us hmmmmm......LOL!!!! Yeah, and shortly thereafter, Jamie tries to tell us there are fish jumping out of the water. Because Jamie is such a prankster and goofball, we don't believe him.

Our boating adventure is coming to an end and like all good TB's, we have food on the brain again! LOL. We decide to head to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner. I love the OSF as they have this pasta with browned butter sauce and Mizithra cheese (totally artery clogging but worth it). Unlike most of the locations I've been to, we only had a 10 minute wait or so!!
Fortunately, they put us in the way back, probably because they knew we couldn't be placed in with the general public. HA HA. Probably a good idea since we had a lot of down time and what happens if you have TBs with downtime? Pics and goofy behavior ensues! Julz sings the alphabet along with the kids at the next table, people try to teach me how to make funny faces in pics, and the highlight.

We continued to take pics of the elbows, Sheila fallic dinner, and any funny faces my end of the table could come up with when I decided to try and photograph Jamie, who's sitting at the head of the table (he's taking this captain thing literally it appears) and he complains that he's blinded by the light. Julz instantly breaks out into song, "Blinded by the light..." and then we all join in but no one knows the next line of the song. Hmmm, something about a douche bag, what? We put Charles to work to find the lyrics on his IPhone and yeah....well blew it big time. "Revved up like a deuce" No, not a douche.

Next it's time to name Sebastian's new bear from Dave and Busters. We decide this is going to be like his travel gnome and Mr. Bear needs to go everywhere!! HA HA. He figures his name should be something with O and C since Angel wrote OC on his shirt for Orange County. We bat around some O names and Oscar is one name brought up.....NOOOOOOOOO! We ultimately decide on Oliver Charles as it sounds like royalty! LOL. Please welcome Oliver Charles to the TB family...perhaps Sebastian will get him his own page here soon!!! HAHA
As dinner is winding down, Tim (Tkflies), calls and says he's tired and wants to know if we'd be disappointed if he didn't show up (boo! boo!).

We get all the rooming arrangements coordinated and it's time to plop down and watch a movie! We call Warren to come over but he's got to get up at 5am for work.

We get settled in to watch the movie and I am scoping out TB blogs that are already surfacing (Jenn!!!) and I realize both Julz and I kinda nodded off at the beginning of the movie. I was the only one who'd seen it so I was allowed!! Julz jumps up without saying a word and heads out of the room.

The boys head to bed and Angel and I settle in for some girl talk in the living room. After some more female bonding, it's time for bed and we decide to go check on the boys. Sebastian is up in the loft bed with his feet hanging over because he's so tall and Jamie is down on the floor on the air mattress, rolled up so tight in this comforter that he almost looks mummified! LOL. Sebastian is slightly snoring and we go to head out and can't stop giggling loudy *sorry boys*. We were tempted to take pics but I was afraid of payback from Jamie!!!
Hard to believe our weekend is over and in a few hours, we are all parting ways again.
