Eeeeeewww, I Am Not Spooning You with Vomit Breath!

As we walked down Pier Avenue and I saw Jenn standing outside, I knew the worst was upon us. For all the work that Mel put into going back and forth down there to secure reservations and to ensure they knew we'd be there, they didn't honor them. They tell us only 4 of our group is allowed in at that point and we are off on a table by ourselves. Julz, me, Kathryn, and Angel went in. We were not happy as Charles and Jamie stood outside. We ended up sneaking them in and brought chairs over while the bar staff looked on. Mel's other table was across the room and we were supposed to have these big tables behind it if the group would ever leave.
The evening was somewhat blurred as I think we made several table changes and I know we irritated the wait staff as we kept moving but given they were the ones to screw up our reservations, I didn't feel terribly bad.
We chowed, we drank, and we ate cookies and mousse. Mooooo! People came and left and we rotated tables yet again. The evening was filled with our DD (drunken and demanding..ha ha) hostess running around to make sure everyone was ok. Somehow Mel also managed to really enjoy her food...so much so that it was all over her white shirt. LOL!! And well, in true Mel fashion.
The night wore on and I thought Tim must have gotten lost on his way so I texted him and he said he was outside looking for parking. About 20 minutes later he arrived and it was so great to meet!!! We hung out and talked a bit when this guy walks up and says hey "TravBuddies" and I am sorta like...who are you? Turns out it was Zack from San Diego.
About this time, the band finally starts to play and TBs head to the dance floor. We goofed around for a bit and somehow ended up on a conga line that Jenn managed to capture on film. I was about to get Tim on the dance floor when the music stopped - lucky dog!!! Next time I will get you out there though...watch me!!! I spent the rest of the evening chatting with Tim and a few other TB's, some I've never met and some I was excited to see again. Charles, Kathryn, Angel, and Julz headed back to the hotel but I stayed with Mel, Tracy, and Jamie since Tim had driven all the way up from Orange County.
While we are sitting around chatting, I see Hermosa Beach officers out front and OMG..the same guys from the Shore the night before! They came in and did a count but no one was kicked out this time. WHEW. While hanging out, we got consolidated down a table or two as the waitress said we needed to either order more drinks or leave. WTF?? There was no one outside at this point and empty tables elsewhere and given the fact that the large group which had our table to begin with sat there for over an hour drinking water when the place was packed, I don't see what we were hurting if only a couple people still were drinking. I was very annoyed with the venue and how they handled things, especially after the money our group dropped in there.
By this time, Mel is starting to sober up...at least a little. Thank heaven Julz was on bathroom duty for the night. Mel had given her Grey Goose shots back to the porcelain gods so she was feeling better. Remember, Mel and I are supposed to share one of the beds in the hotel and we had joked about spooning. I told her, eeeeww, I am not spooning you now with vomit breath!! HA HA HA She laid her head down on the table to nap for a bit before we ventured on. I ran to the bathroom one last time and there was still quite a line. Turns out there were two girls in the large handicapped stall and they didn't quite realize there was a line forming outside and given the way they were all over each other when the stall door opened.
Tim had offered to take us back to the hotel so we didn't have to catch a cab which was incredibly sweet. Tracy, Mel, Jamie and I hopped in and of course had to induct him into more picture taking of our driving down the street!! :D He's a good sport and a great guy...he definitely fit right in with us. He did point out that he's never had so many pictures taken in one night...Tim, you've probably never had that many pictures in a whole month!! HA HA. Now you know how TBs roll!! :D
We said our goodbyes to Tim and Jamie in the parking lot and got ready for bed. Julz and Angel were already snoozing in the other bed and of course, Mel can't go to sleep without downloading the pics first. We start giggling and being loud while the other girls are trying to get at least a couple hours of shut eye.
Mel and I drift off to sleep with the other girls only to be startled wide awake at 4:30 am by someone pounding on our door, yelling "security" multiple times. We all kinda were groggy and trying to figure out what was going on and Julz is the only one who got up to see what was going on. She didn't see anyone and we figured out that the dumb girls must have had the wrong room or doing their version of ding dong ditch. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Couldn't fall back asleep so I just kinda laid there until everyone else would rise and shine...in only a couple of hours! LOL
