Capital of the United States

We slept long, so it was way after 11am when we finally set on a mission to get to know Washington D.C. Of course first thing to do was to get lost while trying to find that metro station. Well after a while we found it and in and went to see the Washington Monument first. That is one big obelisk. After that we went to Smithsonian info center and ate some ceaser salad and watch a some kind of a information video, free. After that we walked to Smithsonian Space & Air Museum. There was everything from II World War airplanes to NASA space modules, like Apollo 11. And there was so much to see, it was really interesting. And I don´t normally could care less about some machines. :D

After that we walked to Capital Hill and took some pictures. And after that we went to see the Natural History Museum, which was more my taste. It was one of the best Natural history museums that I have been. There was everything from dinosaurs to stuffed animals and Hope diamond of course. After that we walked to the National Archives, but the line was killing long so we decided to go there tomorrow early. Or try to be there early at least :D So after that we just walked around and made our way to the White House. And took some pictures, and I have to say it is smaller that I though. And when we were there in frontside suddenly this SWAT guy come to us and told us that they are going to close this street or something, so go away. But he was a nice guy, but I freaked when I read that SWAT sign in his shirt. I was immediately thinking what I have done now:P But luckyly nothing..

After that we hanged around a while to see what was going on but we got bored and went back to hostel. We just realxed in a common room and watched South Park. After a while we went to eat out, and after that we went to bed. Because we were exhausted after walking around the whole day. I have to say that I like Washington, it´s nice city. And I like the fact that almost every attraction is free!:D
