India Tour - Central India Tour

India has several historical monuments and each monument has its own story. There are various World Heritage Sites in Madhya Pradesh.  Last month I went to  for a holiday and had a great time. My travel agent helped me to plan my holiday well in advance and too personal care of minute details. As I landed on the airport, their representatives came to receive me at the airport and assisted me in checking in at the hotel.  The next day I got up early to start the tour to India. We started the tour with the capital of India - Delhi and drove past through various landmarks in Delhi. The next day drove to Agra to explore Taj Mahal and various forts and temples at Gwalior and later saw  the beautifully carved out temples of various groups at Khajuraho, another World Heritage Site.

The fascinating temples of Khajuraho are India's unique gift to the World, constructed between 950 A.D. and 1050 A.D. I enjoyed exploring the  various groups of Temples- Western, Eastern and Southern as the sun rises and as the sun sets. There are various other places you can explore here, which includes Rajgarh Palace. This palace is situated at the foothills of Maniyagarh Hills, Ajaygarh Fort and Kalinjar fort. It also has a unique Dhubela museum. To enjoy the scenic beauty, visit Pandava Waterfalls and Raneh Falls, Benisagar and Ranguan lakes. In the evening, you can also watch the light show. You can also opt to take up various recreational activities such as boating and angling at the lake with prior permission of the authorities.

From  Khajuraho,  I took the flight to Varanasi and  visited various ghats of Varanasi and enjoyed the boat ride as the sun rises, and later returned back to Delhi.  To discover the magic of these destinations, visit India!!!
