During my morning stroll...

Where did the weekend go?  I woke up this morning feeling a little sad that everything went by so quickly - but it was still super fun!  I wish we could hold onto our weekends longer!

Everyone was still asleep so I got up and took a stroll along the Embarcadero towards Pier 39 - the day was gorgeous!  Sunny and warm - absolutely beautiful!  After an hour I returned and we got ready to check out.  Our only plan of the day was to eat at Hog Island Oyster Depot - where my favorite grilled cheese resides.  This has become somewhat of a tradition for me and syb - whenever I'm in town I have to get one.  It makes me happy all over!

I was meeting an old law school friend "L" there too, and Syb had also arranged to meet a fellow TB member there (Ekua) - more the merrier!  We stopped at CowGirl Creamery first so "C" and "A" could buy some cheese.

Cable cars at rest.
Then we got to our lunch spot and got a lovely table outside alongside the water.  Our server was hilarious and so friendly!  We all had a great time catching up and enjoying our yummy food - grilled cheese, steamed clams, clam chowder, salads, etc.  Mmmmmm!

Afterwards we purchased some desserts (cookies, bombolinis (i.e., italian donuts) and walked to Pier 2 (?) where you can walk out towards the sea and there are swively chairs (for fisherman) you can spin on.  It was so nice basking in the sun and being with wonderful friends.  :)

Unfortunately it had to end.  Sybil and I had to catch the bart to SFO airport so we were soon off - excited to be going home, but sad that this super fun weekend was over.
