white sand beaches and sloths in fruit trees

We got into cahuita today, finally i made it too the caribean side of Costa Rica, there was quite alot english ppl on the bus, which shows that we all flock to the caribean, bugger the pacific.  First impressions are good, the beach is white sand and the sea looks beautiful, the park is very close to where we are staying, and there is such a chilled vibe flowing thru the little town.  It almost feels that we are somewhere other than Costa Rica, its got a whole different look, which is good, and finally the houses here look older than 15years, that is one of the things that has bug me, that Costa rica is all new, there is no sign of the past, i like coloninal and cobble streets and old spanish charm, but costa rica lacks this, esp in San Jose, granted the national theatre is stunning and so is the post office, but it gets lost in the big neon lights of mcD.
Another reason i am liking this place is, i have got my picture of a sloth, finally i have one, everytime i have seen a sloth, i either forgotten my camera or its too high up in a tree, but today i got some good shots on my cheap camera.
I will go and find a decent place to eat, and walk the beach, is this the place we will be spending Christmas!!

I found this hotel in both Lonely planet costa rica guide, and also on the internet, it was reconmended to me by some other backpackers, the words i was wanting to hear was Clean and inexpensive, Sol Y Mar does all, we have a decent size room, tho there are rooms which can be bigger!! We have a very clean bathroom, and hot shower.  The owners are pleasent and friendly.  They did ask if we had reserved a room, i had emailed them 3days in advance, so there was no problem, and i think if you did turn up randomly there would still be room.  We have a balcony which overlooks onto the park and sea.  Sol Y Mar also run a resturant and does a very good breakfast.  The rates are very good for Cahuita, we are paying under $22 for a room.  I would reconmend this place to anyone who wants a clean relaxing place to sleep...
