My blog is of my trip around Central and South America, i am backpacking for 6months from Oct - April. This is my first time backpacking.

Bikes, snorkling and gorgeous glasses of wine

one of the many beautiful beaches seen

We rented out some bikes today, and cycled all the way to Playa Uva, what a nice little hideaway beach it is too, we also cycled pass Playa Cocles, it didnt take us too long and the rental was only 2,000c which was more cheaper than Cahutia.  the ride there was great, the road is flat and is paved so you can ride the bike quite well, the only prob is the traffic lol... bloody tico drivers (they drive as mad on the coast as they do in san jose) i also rented out a mask and snorkle and finally after two months went snorkling, i have waited so long, and it was great, didnt see a bloody thing, but hey it was great....

We stayed on the beach a few hours, and then popped on the bikes and went for a pina con agua, tho i opted for the orange juice, i still wary from my sickness.  We then finally made our way back to Puerto viejo.  all in all it was a really good day, i think so far this has been one of the nicest places we have been, Manuel is still the best, but i am really liking my stay here.

oh and i also had a great glass of wine last night, it came from Chilie... it was bloody nice, tut tut i shall never slag off south american wine again, tho you cant beat a good glass of Oz Moondarra yum!!!
