My blog is of my trip around Central and South America, i am backpacking for 6months from Oct - April. This is my first time backpacking.

9hours to Nicoya

We left Santa Elena at 6am and got here to Nicoya at 3something, we have decided to stay in town for a night, as we are not in the mood for traveling down more, the bus journey was too much, too many bumps in the road, and not enough room to swing a cat.  We are staying at the Hotel Jenny, which is reconmended by every guide book in the buisness, and it seems ok.. i only wanted a working shower, so i am easily pleased.

The ferry crossing was not that bad, but the bus was something else.. Nicoya has a very old church, like the white washed ones you see alot of in Greece, its a big enough town, but we are just using it as a base, the internet here is cheap, 400colones a hour!! 40p!!! that is the cheapest yet..

We are off exploring now, looking for the Banco Costa Rica, and a decent Soda...

Tomorrow we are in Samara, catching the 10am connection.. and lets hope we find a good place to stay as we have heard some storys about some hotels in Samara.
