19 hours 39 minutes on the hell bus, tho Cuzco is fabulous.........
Here we are in Cuzco city of the Inkas, and well its quite a special place, i am amazed how lovely the area around the plaza de arms is. Its truly beautiful. We arrived yesterday noon, the bus which i can describe as something out of a horror movie, was just terrible, 19 hours and 39 bloody minutes, constantly going round and round and round, up and down, it was horrid, so bad i was sick, and i never get travel sick.
The bus tho to be fair was the most nicest we have travelled on, including tica bus, we had meals on the bus,which was ok, the only fault and flaw is the leg room, bloody hell, if the person in front of you reclines there seat, then beware you loose a leg as it is sooooo crampt. The bloke in front of me, felt for 15 hours that was the way to travel, bloody idiot, i mean there was no need, but you cant stop someone doing that.
Our hotel is 3star, and ok we paid $20 a night for four nights in Lima, with the tour agency, but on the door, it says $45 so we are wondering if they are gonna charge us more money. If they do we are gonna leave. The highest we paid elsewhere was $30 and that was due to the christmas increase.
We went exploring and found the famed English pub, The Cross Keys, well what a bloody let down this was, truly i am gutted!! the pub was nothing special, in fact it looked like a old mans social club, and this was the place i have looked forward to since last year, and it turned out to be a waste of time, the food also sucks here. So today we made our way to the Irish pub, Paddy o flathertys, well helloooo, this was by far better and more pub looking, and the food much nicer... plus to make the pub even better, there was a spurs match on!!! and we won 4 - 1 so happy days.
We went for a walk, up and down gorgeous little cobble walkways and small streets, managed to get our photo taken with some little old ladies and llamas, found the tour operator, and it was closed dam it!! so thats for tomorrow. Cuzco is very easy to walk around, in the plaza part you will feel less threatened as there are more ppl around, but outside those parts becareful...
