The Summary
As a special assignment for work (I'm a radio news reporter) I got to spend a few days with the 1st Battalion, the Scots Guards at their barracks near Münster in Germany. While I was there the last company of troops came home from deployment in Iraq, and I got to speak to the soldiers and their families about what it was like in Iraq and Afghanistan, and what it was like for the families to be left behind. It was an amazing trip. ** WORK IN PROGRESS! **
