The travel to The Pampas (Yacuma River)

In Rurrenabaque there are many travel agencies side by side and all offer similar services to go to the Pampas (Yacuma River) and the Jungle (Madidi Park) which are the two main tours from this place, but also offer other places that are close to Rurrenabaque.
To take the first tour we chose “Anaconda Tour”, and was the tour to Yacuma River or what is known more as “Las Pampas”.
I and my wife together with a group of three Israelis, the guide and the cook of the group started in Rurrenabaque by Jeep, heading to “Santa Rosa del Yacuma”, a nice town left in the riverfront from Yacuma river, Jeep trip lasts about three hours going through “Reyes” and arrive at lunch to “Santa Rosa”.
After lunch we go on the boats, by the Yacuma river, lead us to our accommodation, taking a first contact with all of nature instead of watching a variety of birds, turtles, alligators, river dolphins and  the monkeys that make the delight those who were in the boat.
Our lodge where we stay two nights and three days with all meals included, (is a tour of adventure in a camp)is the “Sunset Lodge”.

En Rurrenabaque hay muchas agencias de viaje lado a lado y todas ofrecen servicios similares para ir a las Pampas (Río Yacuma) y a la Jungla (Madidi Park) que son los dos principales paseos, aunque también ofrecen otros lugares que quedan cerca a Rurrenabaque.

The Lunch in Santa Rosa

Para tomar el primer tour escogimos “Anaconda Tour”, y fue el tour al Río Yacuma o lo que se conoce mas como Las Pampas.

Yo y mi señora junto con un grupo de tres israelitas, el guía y la cocinera del grupo partimos de Rurrenabaque en Jeep, rumbo a “Santa Rosa del Yacuma”, un lindo pueblo que queda en la rivera del Río Yacuma, el viaje en Jeep dura unas tres horas pasando por “Reyes” y se llega a almorzar a “Santa Rosa”.

Después del almuerzo nos embarcamos en las lanchas que por el Río Yacuma nos llevan hasta nuestro alojamiento, teniendo un primer contacto con toda la naturaleza del lugar viendo toda una variedad de aves, de tortugas, de caimanes, delfines de río  y los infaltables monos que hacen las delicias de los que estábamos en la lancha.

El campamento donde permaneremos dos noches y tres días con toda la comida incluida, (es un tour de aventura en un campamento), tiene cabañas y baños comunes, pero es la forma de estar en este bello lugar el cual lo recomiendo a todos los amigos que visitan Bolivia.
