Flight to Kuala Lumpur

We flew from Brisbane to Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia Airlines today. This was the first time to fly with Reagan so we had no idea what to expect. We had booked a bassinet for her so she could sleep in there, the rest of the flight we had to have her on our laps as she was under two and we did not pay for a seat for her.
As we flew around midnight we thought that was perfect as Reagan should be really tired and sleep most of the way. Boy were we wrong! She slept a little bit at the airport and she obviously thought that would last her through the night... Luckily we had brought a few things to keep her entertained and the airline provided a few things as well. And aside from toys, they even supplied some nappies (diapers) and snacks for children which I thought was really good!
The flight went quite well even though we didn't get that much sleep, we took it in turns so at least we got some.
We had booked our accommodation in Kuala Lumpur ourselves at the Novotel, and had also arranged for a limousine service through them. Unfortunately when we got to the airport it wasn't there, and after a few phonecalls to the hotel and a lot of other limousine drivers offering their services while we were trying to decide what to do, we decided to arrange something else. We got a price from someone and the hotel offered to pay this back as soon as we got there, so we hopped into the guy's car. The airport is about 75 kilometers for the city so it took a while to get there, but it was a pleasant enough drive. There was no child seat though so once again Reagan was on our lap.
Once we got to the hotel everyone was really friendly and apologetic, and soon after we got to our room we got a phonecall from the hotel manager who asked to meet with us. So a few moments later she came to our room and apologised profusely and offered us a room upgrade! Who were we to say no to that...
The rest of the day was spent exploring the hotel and it's surroundings and catching up on some sleep...
