Tower of the Americas
My friends live on the outskirts of the city so we'd spent most of the time around there. Today we were heading downtown. Our first stop was Denny's for a spot of breakfast then we went for a walk over to tower of the Americas. Neither of my friends had actually been up to the top so my visit was the perfect excuse. The view from the top was great. You can see were the city ends and then there's nothing. Just lots of Texas! My mate told me you can drive for 12 hours and still be in TX. Amazing! We spent a couple of hours there and took a walk through the park and headed for the Alamo.

I was so excited about seeing the Alamo. I've heard a lot of people say that it's smaller than they thought, blah, blah. I don't think these people really get the point. It's the history here that matters. Just to be able to walk through the rooms gave me goose pimples, trying to imagine what it must've been like during the big battle. We spent a bit of time in the gardens behind the Alamo before moving on to check out some of the shops and of course, the Riverwalk.
