5am - Wake up 6am - mums attempt to drive us to London Heathrow! When we got to the airport we found out we had a 3 hour delay on our flight! Bummer!! anyways when we finally boarded it was great, lots of posh nosh and drink to be had and loads of free movies we could watch - sorted!! When we got to Hong Kong we hadnt got a dollar on us and we were worried that we would have to pay for entry into the country, but thankfully we didnt!! Got bags pretty quickly then headed to the bus station. The heat and humidity hit us straight away and we both got abit of a dab on!! anyhow, bus was only $33 which is like 2 pound for an hours journey and we got dropped off outside our hostel block!!
Well when you see the pictures of our accommodation you will LAUGH!! Its almost like walking through the rag market in Birmingham/dodgey council estate in Redditch hahah!! its so dodgey and an eye sore but its funny!! our room is like a shoe box and our 'ensuite' is a shower over the toilet which I (Cat) cant turn around in hahah!! We wanted a quick nap before hitting the hustle and bustle of the city, HOWEVER, this dodgey tower block has got some much needed building work going on and we had a pneumatic drill below us going off allllllll afternoon!! its was funny at first! anyways, we were zonked and ended up sleeping right through the drilling for 4 hours hahah!!
The weather earlier was humid, hot, overcast.
Anyways, there we are, we are here safe and sound and looking forward to our time here!!
Well, what can I say me and mark are eating, breathing and sleeping with RICE! haha! To be fair mark is doing REALLY well with the food although he had some spicy noodles tonight and his head nearly blew off - FUNNY!! I even got a pic of it haha!! So the last few days we've been busy!! So Saturday was abit of a wash out weather wise so we went to the cinema and watched the new narnia film, for the two of us, 2 cokes, 2 ice creams and a popcorn came to like 10 pound or something - bargain! We also did a Harbour cruise - dont ask me why cause it was pouring with rain and I fell asleep half way round haha!! Yesterday the sun came out and caught us abit by suprise!! We were the other part of Hong Kong island in Stanley watching the Dragon Boat racing and we got burnt to a crisp!! anyhooooo the racing was good, the beaches were nice and the market was good too.
We're heading out of Kowloon, Hong Kong tomorrow and going somewhere different, however, we dont know quite where YET!! Maybe Lantau - another island or maybe Macau - another SAR country about an hours ferry ride from here. So we will keep you informed of our travels - its not gonna be fun with the backpacks on burnt shoulders!!!!
