Looking at the plane that I took every Friday evening for more than one year

I arrived in the airport in good time; for once. Being a frequent flyer I am used to be there in last moment but I actually enjoy having good time there. When I saw the queue for Aer Lingus I also felt good about arriving early; half of Ireland was going back to home again! There was only one line open and it was going like a snake in the departure area.

In the beginning of the queue there was a gentleman with big troubles with his ticket; that is what I guessed anyway, because there were big discussions going on. I was too far away to hear anything; but I could guess that only from his gestures. Finally solving his troubles, the queue moved fast; probably a fact due to a large amount of frequent flyers and personnel with a great amount of routine.

Terminal B late Friday evening - waiting to have one hour delay go a bit faster

In the security line I was pushed aside by a man of great hurry, later it turned out that he had a great number of large perfumes in his bag, which they made him throw away. I left the area way before him; poor guy I guess he had to throw away perfumes worth at least a couple of hundred Euros because of that mistake. The plane was almost an hour delayed! I had nothing to do but to wait; I tried to get a book about Ireland, but had no success. I glanced out of the window and saw my old Friday plane leaving for Copenhagen at Terminal A; I had been delayed on that plane for hours and hours, so I had a sudden flashback. This time it was not that too bad to have a delay; I was going to Ireland for my first time.

The plane was full, but the service was swift, nice and with one and a half hours flight it didn’t go that slow. Most of the travellers were either commuters or tourist like me. This made most of the people happy; either people were going home or on holiday. I had a gin and tonic and felt very relaxed just waiting to put my feet on Irish soil for the first time.

Haha - it is always like that! People forget how ridget things have become!

I think I have spent too much time in airport - I prefer sitting at a square with a coffee or something else!
