Rocky Beach
...I pulled in at ‘Rocky Beach’ next, this is not the real name of the beach; unfortunately, I didn’t get the actual names of the beaches we visited, so therefore you will have to put up with my nickname for them. Rocky Beach got its name from; you guessed it, all the rocks along the shore. I know, I am very inventive when it comes to giving names to beaches. Because of the rocks, Mel didn't want to swim here either. I went into the water though, because the rocks made wonderful little pools of water, which were lovely and calm and made it nice just to sit and enjoy the beautiful view. I took my camera with me into the water, because there was so much to look at. I took photos of a man and his son fishing amongst the rocks, and the female members of the same family just sitting in the water enjoying their day. One of the girls pointed out a monk seal swimming just off the rocks, in the deeper water. I had noticed it but had thought it was a log floating by and when I knew what it was and wanted to take its photo, it had disappeared. I learnt later from Mel, who had been sitting on the sand the whole time that the seal had moved to the other end of the beach...
