On our way to the highlands

We were so tired that we woke up later and took the 9am bus to start the day's trip. We decided to go to Ocean Park and then some walking along Queen's road to Lan Kwai Fong and then catch the Symphony of lights.

It was a wise decision on our part that we went to Ocean Park early in the morning. The park was quite empty in the morning and we practically have the whole park to ourselves. There are rides here and there, but the best thing about our excursion in Ocean Park is the cable car ride to the highland. It is a 8minute rise up to the highlands and the views along the ride is very very nice. We can see the South China Sea on our right, and we get to occupy the whole car to ourselves. Anyway, due to the operation needs, the system stops once in a while to assist wheelchair bound ppl up the car.

Anyway, once we reached the highlands, we basically walked our way around the park. There was a jelly fish exhibition which we thought it was quite cool. The colours and the slow motion of the jelly fish made me felt like I was in another world. Anyway, there is one portion during the exhibition where the 3 sides of the room are mirror and one side is a glass showing jelly fish. Moreover, it was pitch dark there. There are a lot of people inside the room, trying to take pictures because under the pitch black surrounding, the jellyfish look extraordinarily stunning. I managed to get myself to face one of the mirror and because the room was dark, I thought someone else was in front of me. So, even after saying "excuse me" for 2 times, that "person" in front of me wont move.

Emo...
I thought perhaps he/ she is too engrossed with the jellyfish so I decided to move sideways, but that "person" stood in front of me!! I was quite angry at that time, but at that point, my sis came and showed me the exit. That was when I realised I have been facing the mirror wall and talking to my reflection the whole time. Dumb me. We had a good laugh at my stupidity.

Anyway, we had a good time playing/ spending money at the games stall. We were lucky enough to win 2 prizes in the first game. My sis even won the second prize, which is a panda soft toy. She was elated because it has been soo long since we behaved like kids in a fairground.

We took cable car down again, becasue we wanted to know if it is possible to come back to Ocean Park after we went out.

Oh no,help!!
We wanted to go to Repulse Bay at first, but wanted to catch the animal show at 3pm. But then it turned out that we only have about like 2 hours so we decided to forgo Repulse Bay. Instead, we went to the lowland to catch the panda exhibition. They are soo cute and one of them is soo active I just couldnt help but stood infront of her enclosure for ages. This panda, she is soo, hmm....she has a mind of her own. Firstly, she shook down a tree, then she sat down on the logs the Garfield way, looking soo emo...haha...they are soo cute. I cant remember if I ever seen pandas in Singapore, but definitely saw them on documentary shows. They are really soo gentle and cute.

After the panda exhibiton, we went up the cable car ride again to catch the 3pm animal show.

Wantons
It was a long wait, but the dolphins and seals made the show rather entertaining. The storyline about how man and animals can live peacefully together is also very touching. Anyway, my sis loves the animal show.

We made our way back to HK island to locate a wanton stall which my boss recommends. We did went to a wantan stall, but it is not the one my boss recommended. Anyway, the wanton tastes different, it is filled with prawns, rather than minced meat here. And the soup is delicious. Not a very big portion, but enough for both of us. We walked down to Lan Kwai Fong and then to Golden Bauhinia Sq to catch the symphony of lights.

The symphony of lights is simply stunning, it is free, beautiful and inspiring. Of course, Goldne Bauhinia Sq is one of the best place to catch the buildings in the Tsim Sha Tsui area during the show, and you can hear the music as well. It is a very unique experience, to stand at Victoria harbour and enjoy one the best city view on earth.
