England, Ireland, Scotland, WALES
June 9, 2007
We left Chester early & drove across the border into Wales. We stopped at Conwy Castle, which is a great big chunky looking castle, and a wall that surrounds the whole city. The castle is a ruin, but it certainly looks impressive & imposing, and some of the 'rooms' inside were quite interesting. Plus there's a great view across the surrounding bay (I love anything that involves a water view).
We didn't have much time to stick around, however, and we drove onwards to the edge of Wales & to Holyhead, where we said goodbye to our little hire car and jumped on a ferry to Ireland.
