We all have breakfast squeezed in the kitchen. We're all stranger to each other, but the conversation is animated and joyous. The sun hasn't got up yet. We're waiting for daylight to start to walk. The boys walk faster, so they lose us quickly. Today, the camino consist of a forest path going up the montain. There's intermittent rain... Indications are rare. We're almost at San Sebastian when we get lost in the mountain. It's getting hot. For almost two hours we circle around the montain, to finally end up at the same place we'd started earlier... Then, suddenly we find a magnifient view of the city below us.
We walk to town coming from the mountain, then we have to cross the city to get to the youth albergue. It's such a beautiful city. But, It's not an easy walk. It's very warm and after all these hours our backpacks are starting to be heavy. We cross people going to the beach. We finally decide to take a city bus for a few streets. I find that it stinks in there...to finally, realize that it's me who had walked in dog pooh. My left shoe is full of it! Beurk!
At the albergue, there's a section reserved for pilgrims. The boys are there. We all have diner together, just like a big family.
I get to send some Emails home.
The night is difficult again. I have a hard time falling asleep and then there's a snorer that keeps us awake for most of the night! The others are also awake trying to get him to stop...
