Hoi An and My Son (Cham ruins)
July 17, 2008
A very hot sunny day today. Thankfully, we saw the My Son ruins early in the day. Late morning, a stroll around the lovely town of Hoi An to see the Japanse Bridge, Tan Ky House (where I was most impressed with inlay mother-of-pearl Chinese characters that on closer inspection were made with pictures of tiny birds), and a few Cantonese temples.
Even though our set lunch was included in the tour, it was one of the best we'd had so far. I was particularly impressed with the restaurant's cleanliness.
