Traffic heading up to Dodgers Stadium

My friends and I decided to go and watch our Dodgers play against the Rockies.  I hadn't been to a Dodger game this season, so I was excited to go. Angel's ex-husband works for MLB and she asked him if he would be able to get us tickets. Well, he delivered! We needed to go to will call when we arrived to the stadium.  That day at work I couldn't stop thinking about how fun this game was going to be! So after work I rushed home and changed into blue jeans and a blue top with white and blue tennis shoes. I had to represent the color blue! Anywho, I picked up Gabby first, since she's on the way to picking up Angel. She was wearing a white shirt with blue jeans. Then we go pick up Angel and she wearing a white and blue shirt w/jeans. We thought it was funny.

My pet peeve about ball games are people that go dressed up in suits. Please! Take your clothes to work and change before you drive to the game people! It looks so uncomfortable!

So we are driving to the game. I take the streets because if you are from L.A., you know that if you are able to, you must avoid the freeway at any cost! It was smooth until we reached Sunset Blvd. It didn't take as long as I thought it would, but it was long enough. So were talking about everything and anything while we are in the traffic jam. By the way, it was bobble head night and the game was sold out, hence the traffic.  We finally make it to the parking entrance and I am thankful because I hate waiting! We pay and park. Now we have to walk to will call.

I don't remember exactly where it was at, but I recalled the area. So there we go climbing the steep steps to get to the loge level and I don't see will call. I thought it was on that level! I remember it was on that level! Did they move it? As we are walking towards another set of stairs I notice huge letter that say WILL CALL! I was freaking happy to see that! I missed it because of a gate that was built and it blocked will call. I knew it was there!

We walk up to the window and I give my name. The guy gives me the tickets and I take them out to see where we are going to sit. Well, Angels x-husband got us Field level tickets! I was so excited! I usually pay loge, which is the 2nd level. So we ask a worker how to get to the bottom and he directs us.

He also tells us that the seats are really great! So I am getting antsy! Well, I look at a ticket again, and then I notice VIP. I was like, what the heck is that? I know I'm important! I don't need no ticket letting me know that! J/k! But I show it to Angel and Gabby and they get excited, just like I did when I saw that. What the heck does that mean? Well, we get inside to find our seats and they are box seats! I couldn't believe it! Those seats are too darn expensive and I just got some for free, thanks to Angel's x! I was in Dodger Blue heaven! So we sit down and then the usher asked us if we had ever sat in that section. We said no. Then she tells us that there is a VIP lounge that we can go to and it is all you can eat. Well, our eyes nearly fell out of our sockets! What more can we ask for right? We have our great seats, a Joe Torre bobble head, and now we get free food and drinks (non-alcoholic, of course)! What more could we ask for?  Well, a fly ball would've been nice but I didn't get one.

We had such a great time! At one point, I cannot remember if it was Gabby or Angel, but one of them said something funny that had the three of us laughing so hard! Gabby has a really funny laugh. I have always compared it to the noise of a dinosaur from Jurassic Park. Well, she was laughing that way. There were four gentlemen sitting a few rows in front of us. While we were laughing, they start to film us.  I don't notice this at the time because I'm laughing like a loon! Angel stops mid-laugh and says, "Are they filming us?" and continues laughing. I then pause, look at them and say "Yes, they sure are!" and keep on laughing. Gabby looks at them, ducks down and is irritated because they are doing that, but she's still laughing, too.  It was too funny! We still laugh about it to this day.

Some details of the game: Garciaparra got injured, so Russel Martin (the catcher of the game) took over for him and they brought in someone else to catch in replacement. Dodgers won in extra innings with a sac fly from Russel Martin.  Dodgers 8 Rockies 7
