hell bus is coming...
August 1, 2008
I am suffering right now from what I call 'Morning Starvation From No, Nothing, Breakfast.. erm, Syndrome'. I was also dizzy earlier because I also had 'You Can Not Drinking Water, Makes You Dizzy, After Waking Up Weirdo.. Syndrome'. So this is how I blabber this early in the morning. What can I say? Really, what?
I would eat but it's taking forever to upload some photos from my camera. The picture sizes are so big I will probably not eat yet for the next 25 years if I would really wait. And I will die of course. The pictures are coming from my oh-so-new dslr camera, my small one broke. Should've probably realized that non-water proof cameras are not... water proof! I had it with me while tubing, drowned with me and got droonk with me as well. Sad true story. It has been with me to so many meetups and it will be missed....
Anyhoo, I got a tip for you (surprise!) about Vang Vieng. Do not leave your umbrella by the main door of your guesthouse. If possible, do your best, and bring it with you upstairs to your room. If you ever did forget, oh good bejeebles for whatever reasons, and left it... and lost it, I'm sorry for you. Now the tip really is is to go to the ticketing office for the buses and flights, possibly it's the main one I reckon, and there you will find it. How the hell you're gonna bring it back with you without being seen is your problem. I didn't get to steal back mine! I didn't just lose one. But two, take that, TWO UMBRELLAS mister! I almost bought that expensive umbrella I found at the mall last week in Manila and brought it with me but thank god for my stingy instincts I found one for 1/5 the price! Wait, I'm not sure what instincts mean. ..
Oh good god, these pictures are taking forevaaaaaah! I took some pictures yesterday as I wandered around Vang Vieng on my own. It was good just watching the locals and see how they live their lives here. Met a couple of new friends, kids with toy arrows and swords who attacked me to amuse themselves.. them cute little monsters. I guess they weren't so thankful for my snack which I gave them because I have a heart of pure gold! It was fun though of course. I don't take offense. I was beaten too by my frenemies when I was a kid anyway. It's normal. The pictures here are rubbish though, I don't know how to use my camera yet really. And I might have to check yet if it's water proof. I would go tubing today to see but we are leaving Vang Vieng soon. Going back down to Vientiane in an hour and then off we are to Hanoi. 28 bloody hours of butt torture it will be. All the way to Hanoi by land.
28 hours..... Should be enough for me to learn some more chinese because so far all I know is Nimen, Tamen, Women and Ramen. And my PSP is fully charged, I will be a tekken champion when we get to Vietnam. And since I haven't written much on my travel diary, by tomorrow night all my glittery pens should be out of ink and shiny cute glitters. And sleep, of course, sleep. I have a salonpas with me. And if I ever get too frustrated, there's Jear to punch.
All right folks, I'm off to get some food for my tummy and not miss our bus because if we do then we're just fooking screwed, that is if the pictures will ever get to finish uploading!
PS. Just so you know, the bus from Vientiane to Hanoi has a really bad reputation for being the most frustrating, butt-torturing, neck-killing, and back-breaking journey EVER! But it's cheap.
